I love the song, the flow and the sound of it, as well as the lyrics. This one strikes a heavy chord with me.

Things have been a touch tumultuous lately, I suppose is mostly what brings about the thoughtfulness I've had the past couple days, sitting about on my own.

So! It would appear that I am now gainfully employed. I've already done one day of traiing, am now am in the midst of the second day of it..

I'm working for www.bettertrades.com, as a tier 1 tech support fellow, at the moment.. Better yet, in addition to being some reasonable tech work, it's also going to be work at home.. And, starting at $12 an hour, it doesn't seem to be bad in the least. The fellows are flown in here from elsewhere in the us and seem fairly friendly and nice, as well as genuine.. The IT portion of the company is relatively young, so that's always nice, to get in before things get overly large..

All in all, it seems pretty promising.. And, considering that I've already been paid for one day, and today is my second day of pay, I guess I am hired already, really and truly. I'm admittedly a little excited about the job, simply due to the work at home aspect.. The work is done via phone or VoIP with enough bandwidth, so the flexibility of where I can work is quite exciting.

Whee~

Besides that.. Hellgate was a bit disappointin, thanks to the fac tthat it had no LAN play, and I cancelled my pre-order. I "somehow" got the game otherwise, and was not entirely impressed. Especially considering all the additional content that will be released in the future, such as classes and such (three whole classes in a month? Gee golly gosh, no way they removed them mostly finished, released the game, and are now charging for them... :D ) so I'm none too impressed by the company's decisions.

Witcher seems like a pretty sweet game, though I've played it only briefly, so I won't say much beyond that.. The NWN2 expansion was nothing shy of quite badass, as I enjoyed the story and whatnot thoroughly, even if it was relatively short. Such is the nature of some of their expansions, unfortunately.

More painting.. Biovore!

With that said.. Hm.. I'll be working pretty soon here it seems, a full time position.. It stands to be a pretty interesting, and maybe kinda fun, job. We'll see how it works out!

That aside.. Playin' EQ2, some painting, relaxin'.. That sorta thing!

Yaaaaay..

Another one done.. This one I spent great amounts of time on, and I would dare to say I am -quite- satisfied with it!

Murphy's law? Dead battery.

Better yet? Online fussy drama!

Today isn't turning out to be a particularly nice day.

Welp. Nothin' much going on, yet even still, I suppose!

Got an interview/skill assesment/application thingy all tomorrow, sometime between eleven and twelve.. With luck it'll lead to a job!

Did a little painting again here today.. Winddragon went to the art lab to do some work with his group on their project, and I was invited along.. So I went, and did some painting!

Feeling a little less good at the moment than I would like to.. For some reason I feel like there's something I should be doing or some such.. Dunno. Rrhf!

Boop boop!

So.. I did a bit of painting over the past couple days again. Nothin' "new" per se, but I did touch up some of the models already done, and I decided that the highlights I had on the Carnifex felt pretty good, so I added 'em to everything!

Highlighted Tyranids!

Besides that.. Been playin' a bit of EQ2 and whatnot lately, found a decent guild, so I've been enjoying that. And I must ay that I knida like the class.. An illusionist, so basically a subjugation based spellcaster, with a clone for a pet, so there's always two of me running around.. If not perhaps four! Even if for a relatively brief duration..

Anyway.. I guess things are alright overall, though there's been a definate touch of discomfort in the air, and I'm definately not liking it, and very much wishing I could figure out the 'cause of it, or even if not, a cure!

Work! Sort've...

So. I was scheduled to do a week-long independant contractor project at a local university, Rollin's College..

However, I never received a call from my still-unkonwn project manager, as I was supposed to, and I realized Friday that I had no idea whre -exactly- I'm supposed to be.. So! I drove out to the place today, which is fortunately quite near.. Hopped out of my truck, and was lucky enough to have a friendly fellow walking by that hailed me with a good morning.. Being that I was set to work on a college campus, I had very little chance to find the place on my own, so.. I returned the fellow's good morning with one of my own, and proceeded to question him! He, being the head of facilities, was nice enough to drive me around in a little golf cart to the IT department, where all offices were closed, but one, where I was handed off to someone else altogether. This person made a few calls, then drove me around some more, until finally I reach a friendly-enough lady, who informs me that nobody has any idea what I'm talking about.

So I go back home. :D About an huor later (roughly nowish) I get a phone call, telling me the project has been pushed back to the 6th.. So.. On the day OF the project, an hour and a half AFTER it was supposed to start, I finally get a phone call. Bleh!

Super duper. :D

Well.. How very kind!

I think it's noteworthy to send a little thanks and giving a dip of my muzzle to a very friendly friend of mine, Jacel. A very kind dragon who was very kind enough to do a little doodle of/for me!

http://bronzeandsilver.no-ip.org/doodles/2007-07-05-p-losian.jpg

Thankyou, thankyou.. I enjoy little surprises such as this.. Your friendship has been nice Jacel, and I love talkin' with ya. :D

Also.. I'm headed out here pretty soon.. Driving over to St. George island to spend the evening on my own, in a nearly emtpy condo.. I think having a night to sort've consider and ponder things will be very nice.. Perhaps walk on the beach at night, or wait til' the sun rises.. Do a bit of sketching or drawing, listen to some music.. Maybe write a lil' somethin' or another.. And then I'll wake up tomorrow, drive back, get things all taken care of, and probably head myself back down home..

So! I shan't be around, most likely, this 'eve.. I hope all those who read this have a good evening, and those that do later, had one!

Life.. A very common, a very often heard, word.. A four-letter word, both kind and cruel.

It's a simple word, we all know what it means.. Except that none of us know what it means. A paradox of sorts. So easily defined, yet unknown in almost every one of it's aspects.

Do we treat it with a wild abandon? Do we run amok, hoping to find purpose and reason to it?

Do we crumble beneath it's impossible expansiveness, and disregard all attempts or desires to understand it?

Or do we spend each day going forwards upon paths relatively set before us, straying off them from time to time in order to find magic and wonderment to satisfy us?

It was once said by some famous psychologist or another that music should be banned, or at least restricted. It is powerful and potent, it sways and moves the mind and heart. It makes me wonder about many things.. And not at all in a bad way.

Thoughtful..

Hello everyone! Happy fourth, for those that would take an interest for having a happy day t'day..

A bit thoughtful, I suppose, about alot of things. Life as a whole, really. Where I'm headed, what I'm doin', what I should do with it.

It stems from a variety of things.. My father turned 58, gettin' pretty old.. A mother one of my parent's friends, a ninety year old woman, was here today as well, since we had a bit of a cook out and whatnot. Seeing rather old folks always makes me give things a bit of thought and whatnot.

Life seems to take so long, sometims, yet at the same time, I can't imagine it'll ever be enough. So I take wild and unbelievable risks? Should I throw caution to the wind and do something crazy, to try to achieve my desires or dreams as fast as possible?

Every day there's so many possibilities in our life.. There's a countless things we can do.. I can walk outside and dance around naked.. I can go to the back room and meditate, to consider what to do, when to do it.. Unlimited possibility, though we don't terribly often stray from the path. I always wonder what would happen if I did.. What if I took the dive, and did somethin' crazy? Would I regret? Would it work out in a way that I'd never expected in the first place, better than I could have dreamed? I guess, much like life's possibilities, any of those could be possible, as well as anywhere between the extremes.

Rrrah.

I now know what it's like to be a thankgiving turkey.

Okay, first.. Spell the word.. ah.. 'apple' in your head.

Done?

Okay, in the time it took you to do that.. Some woman came into the room, proked and prodded your ear, left, came back in, mumbled something about 'anesthesize,' smeared iodine all over your ear, sprayed something really cold and extremely powerful smelling all over the back of your ear, stabbed it, poked and squeezed at it, put a bunch of gauze on it and told you to hold it, then left.

I don't think I even had time to look at her name badge.. x.x

In other news, I have a giant and stupid-looking wad of gauze taped to the side of my head.. I wish they had simply done the cutting in the first place, as this visit was my followup visit to the clinic.. What a pain.

Anyway.. Off I go to Tallahassee.

Rhrhr..

Well.. Unfortunately, I'm feeling considerably crappy today! Fortunately, I think the whole ear plague thing is maybe improving, but it's sorta hard to tell.. I'm taking the antibiotics as instructed, and doing the other things they said to do and whatnot, so it oughta be much better by tomorrow, I hope.. I'mnot sure if it's the antibiotics, or somethin' else, but I really just feel very.. out of it, today.. Pretty headachy, the weird pressure-throbbing kind, and generally unpleasant for most the day, so I'm just tryin' to keep myself comfortable and preoccupied, to lessen my ability to focus on how not too good I'm feeling. :D

Rhrhnf. Regardless, it seems I'll likely be driving up to Tallahassee tomorrow, and hopefully I'll be feeling alot better by the time I wake up tomorrow.. I'd certainly like that to be the case, anyway.

So.. It appears that I have the plague ear. Or, at least, that's perhaps what I would call it, if this were medieval times or some such. :D

Unpleasant details aside, I have some weird thing goin' on with the ear that was pierced, I couldn't manage to get the piercing out when at the walk-in clinic, and holy freakin' hell, does it hurt quite a bit. >.o Ow..

That aside, I guess I'm alright.. Just hopin' I don't have to give up the piercing, as that'd make me kinda sad.

So.. Things are still going quite nicely, all in all, no complaints or negative stuff really at all comes to mind! I'll be going quite soon to visit my family again up in Tallahassee, and my sister is due for her kid to be born any day now (tomorrow to be specific, but hey!)

I had two distinct and odd dreams last night.. The first involved me somehow being pregnant, but I won't expand on that at all, due to someone that was involved that I don't care to really delve into at all.

The second was me at my old elementary school, and there was some weird show or something going on outside, and then a few bugs were flyin' around, and then a small swarm of birds.. And somehow I knew locusts were coming! So, next comes a stampede of ground animals, badgers and iguanas and other such things, running and fleeing.. then a swarm of locusts! Weird. I ran inside the building and into the computer lab to hide, where nobody seemed the wiser for what was happening. I met one of my old teachers there, and also got to see my old technology teacher whom I liked. Whee!

So! Things are going pretty alright, here.. Nothin' particularly noteworthy one way or the other really to say, which is likely the cause of the relative silence here in my journal, as of late. Just enjoying time as best I can, and spending most of it with someone I certainly enjoy being around.

Been toying with a bit of NWN2 multiplayer, as lovely a game as it is, as well as piddling around with a number of other games and such in the interim.

Not really alot to say, unfortunately. :D I'll be dropping up to Tallahassee sometime here before long, right about the early first week or so of July, in order to visit family, greet my sister's soon-to-be-born son, my father's birthday, and also the Fourth of July. ^^

Hope all you folks out there that read this are doing well.

Sooo..

It's almost done. Exciting, exciting.. :D

Got some pictures earlier today from my friend who's overseeing the building and whatnot of my system, and here's how it's lookin'.

Many kudos go to the talented and illustrious Winddragon for the art on the case, of course..
